DWhen it comes to changes there are four social change theories evolutionary, conflictual, structural-functional, and social-psychological. The theory of evolution suggests that society moves in specific directions, these directions cause society to progress into higher and higher levels. This is why our culture today is more advanced than it was 200 years ago or even just 50 years ago and will be even more advanced into the future. For a social entrepreneur this allows them to see something that needs to be changed for society to make it better, therefore again taking out society to a higher level. Conflict theory states that social change is determined from tension or conflict between groups or individuals. A social entrepreneur approach to making a change is to see something that is causing a conflict and develop a plan to make a positive change to that conflict. If there is destructive conflicts between others then the destructiveness will carry into society.
