An article published several years ago in the New York Times discusses how some older adults have begun seeing counselors or psychotherapists for the first time in their lives. Here is the link to this interesting report by Abbie Ellin:
The report includes three videos of people reflecting about their experiences in therapy. What are common threads in their reports? What barriers exist for older adults who might benefit from seeing a therapist? How might these barriers be overcome?
In your discussion as a group, identify the challenges facing the counseling and psychotherapy professions with the aging of the Baby Boomers and how they might be met.

You are welcome to cite non-peer sources too, but these will not be a replacement for peer-reviewed/scholarly articles that are required for these assignments.
