Ageism is arguably more widespread than many other –isms that affect American life and popular culture in the early 21st century. To explore to what extent your own beliefs among older people have a negative bias, take the Facts on Aging Quiz, which is available in Course Resources. What did you learn about how you regard older adults from taking this quiz? Which beliefs that you brought into this course have changed as a result of what you have been learning these past few days?
In your discussion as a group, consider ways of reducing ageism through our own individual actions, as well as through larger societal and cultural changes.
