Scenario:
LiveWell Hospital is a 500-bed, critical access hospital that schedules between 22,000 to 26,000 visits a year. LiveWell Hospital provides surgical, medical, and acute care, 24-hour emergency room services, outpatient services, health education, behavioral services, and home and hospice care. It employs 2200 people, including 275 physicians.
LiveWell Hospital is preparing to implement an EHR system. The CFO has asked you, the HIM Director, to prepare an executive summary to distribute ahead of an EHR information meeting. The meeting will include the hospitals executive board as well as the department heads. The purpose of the meeting is to inform them about what to expect during a system implementation.

Recommend a process for the writing and approval of Requests for Proposals (RFP) from EHR vendors. Do not write an actual RFP.
