A loss or hardship you’ve faced and what it’s taught you about yourself

-Grandmother defeated cancer.
– My grandmother was one of the closest people in my life.
– As my dad and mom are really busy with work, my grandmother looked over for me a lot.
– When I was younger I didn’t really fully cherish these moments with my grandmother because I was young and didn’t really understand anything + I took these moments for granted because my grandmother was always there for me.
– She cooked me great food, took excellent care of me, took me on trips around the city to visit different places and experience new things, read me bedtime stories …
– She has been dealing with cancer for the past few years but has constantly kept a positive approach towards everything.
– Even though she was suffering a lot through chemo, she didn’t complain a single word and maintained an optimistic approach through these tough times.
– Seeing her suffering was one of the hardest moments in my life and during her cancer treatment, I didn’t have the chance to see her much and missed her presence dearly.
– For the first time I felt loneliness as during these times as my dad and mom were always at work or taking care for my grandmother,
– Those 2ish years of my grandmother having to constantly move back and forth between the hospitals and her house were some of the toughest times of my life until this point.
– The day that the hospital announced that my grandmother defeated cancer was the happiest day of my life.
– This experience has not only taught me the importance of family but also has taught me to not take things for granted and to cherish everything in life, + this has shown me my inner strength to keep pushing through hard times and realizing that these tough times are only temporary + taught me how to always maintain a positive approach in life and always look forward to the best.
