1. Provide a brief background about the rise of the process of globalization— started in early 1970s.
2. Examine the economic factors giving rise to offshoring and outsourcing by the U.S corporations in developing countries— the U.S recession of 1973, benefiting from low wages, absence of environmental standards and pollution control in foreign countries, and incentive to have access to large foreign markets.
3. Collect some data on the affected manufacturing industries in the U.S in the period 1980- to late 1990s.
4. Present some data on loss of high paying manufacturing jobs at home.
5. Examine the impact of investment and technology transfers by the U.S companies, say, to Latin America Africa, or on China’s economy.

6. Do a case study on a developing country of your choice. Has the country benefited from globalization in terms of lower unemployment and higher income? Is the country better off in the aftermath of globalization?
