Scenario #2
Dr. O is called to a police department to evaluate their new de-escalation training program. The program is meant to train patrol officers on de-escalation techniques to avoid use of force during high-tension encounters in the field. Every patrol officer in the department has undergone the training and the department wants to know how well the training worked. Dr. O is given records of the number of use-of-force incidents every month for three years prior to the training and he continues to record the number of incidents every month for three years after the training.
