There is a lot of information online, in magazines and newspapers relating to public policy, local governments, and more. However, some of the news articles are not always accurate or are based on faulty research or resources. As individuals, it is up to us to analyze what we read in order to decide if we believe or disbelieve the validity of the article. You will have a total of 4 Current Issues Papers due during the semester and they must be submitted through Canvas under “My Assignments” via TurnItIn. This is worth 25% of your final grade.
For each article summary:

They also must be related to the class in some way, from US Supreme Court Decisions, laws passed by the New Jersey Legislature, laws passed by the US Congress/Senate, ordinances passed by the town you live in, or information regarding the Governors policies or things he may be trying to accomplish – so this is a wide scope of information. These articles are not to be research articles because the focus of this assignment is to look and evaluate what the general public is reading.
