These my professor’s instructions:
The essays focus on the genre of drama or play. For the drama or play paper, choose from the following:
Discuss destiny or fate in Sophocles’ “Oedipus Rex” or “Oedipus the King”; 2) Discuss love and/or lust in William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”; or 3) Compare and contrast both plays (discussing their similarities and differences with themes, characters, etc.).
You can address the meanings to you, society, or the world. You can be as creative as you’d like with the drama or play essays;
however they should follow the Modern Language Association’s style of documentation.
The essays should have a parenthetical reference (from the play, when quoting words or sentences from it) and also a Works Cited page (the source where you obtained the play).
The paper should be double-spaced, 12 point font, and Times New Roman which follows the Modern Language Association’s style of documentation for English papers.
