You are acting as the operations and quality consultant for a chosen organization. You have been asked by the board of directors to prepare a report to review the operations and quality management processes in the organization.

You are required to look at the existing supply chain networks, operations management, and quality management processes, procedures, and systems within the organization, and, evaluate the competitiveness of the organization in achieving key strategic objectives.

It is also imperative to evaluate the information management/ systems in the organization in relation to such operations management processes.

You should provide a brief Introduction to the chosen organization and highlight the operations management challenges that the organization currently faces.
You should then review any three principles in Operations Management and briefly describe the relevance of such principles and concepts in the context of the chosen organization.
Analyze the current operations strategy from the perspectives of productivity, workflow, and quality. In doing so, you should also be able to evaluate the long-range plans for the design and use of operations functions in supporting the overall business strategy.
Discuss the application of quality management Principles such as lean and six sigma in Operations management. You should highlight how the implementation of such quality management principles allows your chosen organization to track the key performance indicators so as to achieve better utilization of resources.
Using relevant academic literature, analyze the critical elements involved in the design of the supply chain network and describe how these critical elements would help the organization to achieve a ‘strategic fit’.
Describe the role of management information systems in advancing strategic goals and operational success in the organization. You should evaluate the role of ICT applications in Supply Chain optimization in the organization and suggest any two relevant ICT applications that would help in further optimizing the supply chain in the organization.
Finally, synthesize and critically evaluate all the acquired findings and conclude the report with your final findings and analysis. You should also recommend the use of Artificial Intelligence as a current and emerging Information system technology that would assist the organization in analyzing operational requirements.
Kindly note that you should present the whole report written well in a good format, and which makes good use of the Harvard Referencing System.
