Goal: Reflect on the importance of culture in a country’s cuisine. Research how cultural aspects influenced the cuisine such as agriculture, customs and religion, and immigration. Write a paper on how these various cultural aspects have influenced the country’s cuisine.
Definition of Culture:
Culture is the characteristics of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, agriculture, social habits, music and arts.

Process for Completing this Paper:
1. A country will be assigned to each student. The student will research the country’s cuisine and history.
2. Create a menu on your particular country reflecting how the cuisine is influenced by the culture.
3. Make a list of food that is attribute to the country. Then select from your list two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts to create a menu.
4. Develop a brief history of the culture. Write about how your menu items reflect the culture and how the culture influenced the cuisine through agriculture, customs and religion, and immigration.
5. Explain why you choose each of the menu items to reflect the culture.
