Category of Reality TV:
Provide a title for your proposed show.
Describe the category of reality show that you are interested in producing.
Who would be the target audience for your show? Consider providing the particular demographics of your target audience (e.g., age range, ethnicity, and gender).
Optional: If you are planning on modeling your show on another one (whether historical or current), describe how your show concept builds upon that model.
Production:
Describe a typical episode of your proposed show. How will an episode unfold?
In describing the unfolding episode, describe the criteria for selecting a cast to best tell the story.
Describe some of the production decisions that you will implement to achieve the desired story.
The Message “Behind” the Story:
Describe the message that you want your reality TV program to send to your viewers. Choose a particular topic (gender, race, ethnicity, family responsibilities, and so on), and tell us about the viewpoint on this topic your show will communicate.
In providing the information above, describe at least 1 element of a story (e.g., location, people, actions and conflict, or resolution) that you will use to convey the message.
In conveying the overarching message for your show, describe 1 situation that will make your cast members behave in ways that reinforce that message.
Viewer Reception:
Describe the impact that you intend your show to have on audiences. For example, you might address a behavior, an attitude, or a perception that you hope viewers will develop or change as a result of watching your proposed show.
Discuss why this particular impact is important to you.
Ethics and Safety:
Describe the ways you will ensure that participants will be treated with fairness and safety in mind.
Connect your answer to one of the ethical principles studied in this unit.
For example, if there are humorous or stressful situations that the cast will endure, you might indicate how you will reduce any reputational impact once your show has aired.
You might also consider the physical challenges that contestants will endure and how to reduce any likelihood of physical harm.

Formatting notes:
Support your arguments and recommendations with examples, as well as information from appropriate intellipath lessons. Be sure to use in-text citations, and list your sources on your reference page.
Follow APA formatting requirements. Your paper should be 2–3 pages in length (not counting the Title or Reference pages), include a Title page and a Reference page, and be double-spaced with 1-inch margins throughout.
Ensure good writing. Follow an organized paragraph structure. Open with an introduction paragraph, close with a conclusion paragraph, and check for grammar and spelling errors.
