The assignment deliverable includes (1) a project digital artefact, (2) a written documentation report and (3) its presentation pitch. You should cover the project overview with its aim and objective, related research to support your work, artefact design, artefact prototype, and evaluation with conclusion.

The pitch presentation should capture your project development includes its project brief, ideation, proposed solution, and its design with the final artefact. The written documentation report should include everything of project development and its interactive digital experience artefact.

To start you off, you will require to deliver a comprehensive project report with a digital experience prototype. The indicative substants of the project includes:

Project Overview with a clear aim and objectives with a clear problem statement

Research on similar services/systems; market analysis with competitors’ research; user research, design research, technical and thematic research

Task analysis (Goals > Tasks > Features) Identification and mapping of user experience

Information architecture or sitemap (showing the main structure/sections and information structure)

Scamps and ideation (showing your early thoughts on how the key areas might be designed)

Key wireframes (detailing how the main screens work in the user journey)

Design Language & Typography (showing your brand identity, font choices)

Key Screen Designs (showing what your visual design system looks like)

Prototyping (showing your prototype development and rendering)User testing and evaluation (showing how evaluating your creative work and its findings) The deliverable is a (1) documentation report in pdf format “main submission” with (2) its presentation pitch in pdf “attached together with the report” and (3) the digital experience prototype or artefact (this could be made available via URL link or screen recording video). The assignment submission must be done via the Wiseflow.Learning Outcomes for the Assessment:   Knowledge of design methodology and design-related research methodsDesign (investigate, define and execute) innovative projects in the field of digital design in a research-led mannerUnderstanding of design methods and their practical application in the user experience design of digital media productsPresentation skills – well balanced visual and text documentation of design process for technical work)Develop skills in the use of digital media technologies for the creation of digital experiencesDevelop critical stance to graphic design for digital designDetailed knowledge (theory and practice) of graphic design (layout, illustration, typography) and user experience design within the context of digital designCreative design prototyping skillsinterpersonal skillsAssessment and marking criteria The students will be required to show evidence of the following: 1) Quality of problem description and pitch presentation (25%) This is tied down to how thoroughly you have identified and qualified the need – i.e. it isn’t just “because I would use it” – if that’s where it starts, it needs to be validated it’s a need for users and there’s nothing out there doing the same thing – or if it’s is, you have a new twist or an extra idea.Beautifully presented, succinct, well-rehearsed, punchy, this is as much about visuals and style as the story you are telling. This is you pitching your idea and make sure you have a thorough understanding of what you are doing.Quality of the proposed solution and with supporting research materials to solve the problem (25%)This is tied down to how thoroughly you have identified and understand the user need, how strong your proposed solution to overcome the identified challenge and how well you tackle the problem.how well your research supports your design and UX of the proposed specification.Quality of the digital user experience design and prototype development of the digital artefact (25%)How you design your digital experience and its creativity. Produce all relevant creative and design components to deliver an effective design solutionhow you convert and develop your design into an interactive digital prototype which captures and delivers the full experience and features of the end product. The aim is to see how you capture the user experience in the development of a new concept and you will need to show how you demonstrate the end

product with your interactive prototype to facilitate the real user experience. Quality of the artefact evaluation and documentation report (25%)How you evaluate your creative work and the project artefact, quality of your documentation with its beautifully presented, succinct, well-described project brief, research, design and development of the solution with necessary references. This is to show your thorough understanding of the project brief and delivery.Assessment method by which a student can demonstrate learning outcomes: A written documentation with a presentation pitch and the document must be submitted via WISEFLOW electronically in pdf format including URL to the interactive prototype or its video recorded fileWeighting:   100%Format for the assessment/coursework:   A written report document includes the project scope with aim and objectives, research, design, prototype development, the artefact evaluation with conclusion for the proposed digital experience and this document should be submitted in pdf format via Wiseflow before the deadline.A presentation pitch includes project focus, idea synthesis and ideation with your proposed digital experience and this presentation pitch (pdf) should be submitted together with your documentation report. The project digital artefact should be submitted together with your documentation report and project presentation pitch.Distribution Date to students6th May 2023Submission Deadline:23:59, 4th July 2023Feedback to Students:Following the examination panelIndicative Reading List:Refer to the module reading listOther Information:   Plagiarism This is an individual assignment.
