California, Florida, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, South Carolina
Research the following
Then, make a three- to five-slide Powerpoint that will answer the following questions about your assigned state:
When did your assigned state pass legislation related to NIL? What was the timeline in relation to the decision NCAA vs. Alston?
What structures have they set up to govern/monitor?
Have there been any repeals in the state?
Bonus: Find and discuss any NIL state-related legal or political issues currently being discussed in popular press (similar to the Ted Cruz at Baylor article current issue discussed in class)
Finally, examine the states that have not passed any state laws.
How many are there? Why haven’t they passed state laws?
Give us at least two examples.
