Final Assessment 40%
Individual Report Task (30%, 1500 words, 10% up or down). In week 12, we cover concepts like Achieving Excellence, Organisational Development, Organisational Ambidexterity and so-forth and learn organisations can strive for excellence by achieving multiple objectives at the same time. (Please refer to Chapter 18 for more details on achieving excellence).
In this part of the assessment you should,
(a) analyse the competitive environment (only competitive environment) in detail
(b) Identify another appropriate competitive driver the organisation should focus on. Then apply two of four key management practices that lead to sustained, superior performance (i.e., Strategy, Execution, Culture and Structure) to help the company achieve its excellence through selected competitive driver. You should define it, provide the rationale for selecting that specific competitive driver and provide detail recommendations as to how two key management practices (Strategy, Execution, Culture and Structure) could be used to achieve competitive advantage.
