Assignment Task
Description
You are required to review your knowledge of a chronic disease/condition and upskill in this area via professional development activities. As part of the process you are required to reflect on your development in this area and identify potential changes to your practice. There is no set word limit as you may use mind maps.
Ensure that you have discussed your plan with the subject coordinator prior to starting this task to ensure it meets the learning outcomes of the subject. Examples of some activities have been provided above in 3.1.1. These are not the only activities at may be undertaken.
Structure
There should be three main sections to your assignment. This assignment should ideally relate to the topic of your proposed chronic disease/ condition rehabilitation program that you have selected for assignment 2.
Part
1. Outline in detail your current knowledge of the chronic disease/ condition and management of that condition. This does not need referencing as its what you currently know.
2. Outline in detail your professional development activity/s. This should include who you spoke with, what clinical training you undertook, any online activities, and/ or any peer reviewed journal articles read.
3. Critically reflect on the professional development activities you have completed. Outline your new knowledge and identify clearly how it may change or confirm your practice. You may want to place part 2 and 3 in a table or you may want to use mind maps for part 1 and 3. How you present this information is up to you which is why there is no word limit.
