SWOT analysis is an informative tool, which helps organisations to make decisions based on their internal and external situations (The analysis below will set a foundation to better understand the crowd funding sector as well as how the crowd funding site “The London Entrepreneurial Exchange” can be developed.

Internal analysis:

The internal analysis consists of strengths and weaknesses, which are listed in Figure 1.1 above. Lack of funding is a common problem that start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face at the initial stage of their business which can be solved with crowd funding. There are some disadvantages of crowd funding, which can be perceived as weaknesses. Therefore, it is important that a crowd-funding site like London Entrepreneurial Exchange (LEE) is aware of this weakness and comes up with solutions to support the entrepreneurs seeking funds and protect their business ideas.

External analysis:

The external analysis includes opportunities and threats found in the external environment of the crowd-funding site, which may affect its internal environment and other aspects.

Critical success factors:

From the above analysis, we will discuss further some critical success factors, which work as a gatekeeper to decide the success of this crowd-funding site. There are enabling factors, which enable the development of the platform, as constraining factors, which prevent the site from achieving its success.

Develop an e-marketing and social media campaign to launch such a site focusing on a performance model approach, as there is a limited Marketing budget of £10,000 to cater for this launch

Campaign schedule
