Diversity Action Plan

You will create a diversity action plan for your organization, or one you are interested in working with.  This is an “action plan,” is the framework for the organization’s DEIB strategy.  

Your plan will, at a minimum, include the following: 

Describe your chosen organization *DEIB baseline.

Identify areas of concerns

Create your objectives

Define the metrics you will use to measure success

Create some actionable steps to achieve your objectives

How the plan will be evaluated

You can, of course, include more if you deem it relevant. 

*DEIB – Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

Please use 3rd person; however, you can use first-person perspective where applicable and appropriate, i.e. describing your own role, distinguishing from your point of view and others, or writing is reflective or contains personal elements.

When appropriate, incorporate conceptual discussion,  

You are encouraged to use subheadings. A subheading reflects the content that follows. Subheadings provide a point of reference for the reader as well as guide the reader through your paper.   If you do not have a clear thesis or your introduction is a bit complicated, the reader spends time guessing and is unclear as to what they are reading and why.
