Prior to beginning work on this , read the Chapter 9 case study, “Cultural Models of Breast Cancer”, located in Chapter 9 (p.169) from the Social and Behavioral Foundations of Public Health textbook.
The case study presented in Chapter 9 highlights how different cultures view disease, prevention, and treatment. Health professionals must remain cognizant of these beliefs if they wish to make meaningful, positive changes.
Compare and contrast the different cultures highlighted in the case study.For example, what are differences in health beliefs across the different cultural groups?What are the primary communicable health conditions impacting the populations discussed?Discuss one social and one biological determinant not addressed in the case study.Support your claim with evidence from at least one scholarly source.Critique the information presented in the case study by addressing the following questions:How did your research findings support and dispute the information presented in the case study?
