The paper should be structured as follows:
- Introduction and overview This should include a paragraph or two providing context for the specific industry and main themes of the report.
- Company profile This section includes basic identification of the company, current products, competitive and marketing situation, reasons to consider the internationalization, and the goals for the foreign markets.
- Firm strategy
- What international strategies does this firm use? Provide support for your answer.
- What internal characteristics of the firm support the use of this strategy? Analyze the firm’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Do you think this is an ideal strategy for this firm? Why or why not? If not, what do you recommend? Assess the firm’s external environment for opportunities and threats. Who are its greatest competitors globally and/or in specific countries?
- Firm structure
- What organizational structure is used in this firm? Provide support for your answer.
- Is an ideal structure for this firm? Why or why not? If not, what do you recommend?
- Ethical and Legal Issues
- Identify the ethical and legal issues faced by this firm when operating in other countries. Support with examples.
- Provide recommendations on how these issues can be managed using biblical principles.
- Recommendations and Conclusion
- Given the data and analysis, what should the firm do to maintain its position globally?
- What new markets/countries should it consider?
- Provide some conclusions about international management based on your findings.
Reports should be 9 to 10 pages (double-spaced in 12-point font) excluding cover page and references. At least 10 reputable references must be cited and referenced.
The International Strategic Analysis will be graded as follows:
- Content – 70% This is the most important part of the strategic analysis. This shows a student’s ability to apply international strategy concepts to an MNE. Thoroughness, accuracy, and keen analysis are key in this paper.
- Ethical and Biblical principles — 10%. Students must apply ethical and biblical principles when analyzing a firm’s internationalization strategy. Examine if the firm appears to operate on biblical principles.
- Process – 20% This refers to readability, flow, logic, organization, professional look, and writing mechanics of the report. Reports should be clear, concise, structured in a logical fashion and easily readable, with a logical flow of thoughts and ideas. The paper should be devoid of spelling and grammatical errors.
