Compare the data of the U.S. to the data to another country that has lower mortality rates. Provide an evidence-based rationale for the other country’s management of the problem surrounding the social determinants of health and health inequity. Provide a comparison of the health policies of both countries that improve or negatively impact the problem. Determine if a new policy is needed or if an existing policy should be changed to improve the incidence and mortality rate of the problem. Identify leadership competencies and skills that would be required to create a change to positively impact the problem. Discuss possible platforms nurses can use to influence change in managing this problem.
