You must use at least five credible sources of at least three different kinds (e.g., two articles, a book, an interview, and a website), and you may include the sources you used for the synthesis essay. You will want to have an appropriate introductory and concluding paragraph and clearly organized body paragraphs. In addition to presenting a clear thesis and a logically organized essay, you should include appropriate and relevant paraphrases and quotations. Show that you know the material well and have good control over it AND your own argument.
This is more than a report; you will want to offer an in-depth exploration of a topic that demonstrates your ability to thoughtfully research, read critically, and apply what you learned to an issue or topic. Be sure to consider the paper length in your thesis design; your thesis should be of appropriate scope.
