Crime and Punishment: As students learn about the subcomponents of the criminal justice system (i.e., law enforcement, courts, and corrections), documentaries will be provided for students to view – one per subcomponent. That is, there will be a documentary on law enforcement, one on the courts, and one on corrections. These documentaries highlight current flaws and obstacles these subcomponents are currently facing. Students are tasked with watching the assigned documentaries and writing a two-page reflection on the issues highlighted.oAs you reflect on the issues presented in the documentary, answer each the following:
1.    What is the criminal justice system doing that is working? What is the criminal justice system doing that is NOT working?
2.    How do the issues presented in the documentary impact individuals and the community-at-large?
3.    What can be done to address one or more of the issues presented in the documentary? Provide actionable steps the criminal justice can make to address these issues.
4.    How did the documentary make you feel about the criminal justice system?Your assignment should be double spaced with standard 1-inch margins.

Please put your name, course name, and the title of the documentary in the header of the document. Proofread for grammar, mechanics, sentence structure, organization, etc. and make sure your assignment conforms to APA 7th edition guidelines when citing the documentary. Students should reference class material by incorporating the textbook/assigned readings in their writing assignment and cite using proper APA format. Please refer to Purdue OWL for APA formatting guidelines (Purdue OWL) Students may find it beneficial to also bring in additional outside sources when completing their writing assignment (e.g., news stories), but this is not required.
