To Prepare:
Review the Resources and identify a clinical issue of interest that can form the basis of a clinical inquiry. Keep in mind that the clinical issue you identify for your research will stay the same for the entire course.
Based on the clinical issue of interest and using keywords related to the clinical issue of interest, search at least four different databases in the Walden Library to identify at least four relevant peer-reviewed articles related to your clinical issue of interest. You should not be using systematic reviews for this assignment, select original research articles.
Review the results of your peer-reviewed research and reflect on the process of using an unfiltered database to search for peer-reviewed research.
Reflect on the types of research methodologies contained in the four relevant peer-reviewed articles you selected.
Part 1: Identifying Research Methodologies
After reading each of the four peer-reviewed articles you selected, use the Matrix Worksheet template to analyze the methodologies applied in each of the four peer-reviewed articles. Your analysis should include the following:
The full citation of each peer-reviewed article in APA format.
A brief (1-paragraph) statement explaining why you chose this peer-reviewed article and/or how it relates to your clinical issue of interest, including a brief explanation of the ethics of research related to your clinical issue of interest.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the aims of the research of each peer-reviewed article.
A brief (1-2 paragraph) description of the research methodology used. Be sure to identify if the methodology used was qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-methods approach. Be specific.
A brief (1- to 2-paragraph) description of the strengths of each of the research methodologies used, including reliability and validity of how the methodology was applied in each of the peer-reviewed articles you selected.
this is the template that you need to use for the assignment. This template can be found under your resources when you click on module 2 and go down to your instructions for the assignment, there is an attachment there under your resources. You can download this template from there and save it in your computer as a Word document to submit it for the assignment. So the goal and purpose of this course is for you to identify a clinical topic or clinical problem or area of concern that you would like to work on, learn about, and explore and develop over the next 10 weeks to nine weeks. So you’re going to be developing and working on the same clinical topic. Say for every assignment you’re going to be gathering nursing research literature on that particular topic. They eat cheese. So it needs to be something that’s within your scope of practice and it needs to be nurse driven, nursing sensitive, and patient-focused. So whatever area you are going to be working in, that should be your focus if you’re going to be a mental health nurse practitioner or an educator or gerontology nurse practitioner or acute care or whatever your scope is. That’s what I would suggest that you develop for your clinical topic. Say this assignment asks ET guy to the library, or you can go to any portal that has scholarly research and find four primary research studies on whatever clinical topic that you decide on to cheese. Put the full citation, like he would put them in the reference list in the top four boxes on this worksheet. Then the next section asked to explain why you chose this. Why is this important to nursing? Why is this important to patient care and improving the quality of care and adding to the body of knowledge. You can talk about briefly, the ethics related to this clinical issues. So maybe this is some sort of ethical dilemma that you’re looking at. Every research article will have a brief section of ethical implications in that as well. Say just briefly touch on that. The next section of the worksheet asks you about the description at the aims of the research. I don’t require your article to be peer reviewed, however, it does need to be a primary research study. So the aims, that means what is the objective of the stay? How are they answering the research question that they’re asking? So how are they addressing the problem that they are identifying? And all of this is kin isn’t an introduction. Other report said the problem and their research question how they’re going to address that? That’s going to all be found in the introduction, the next section ascii to talk about the research methodology, I would suggest that you not use mixed methods research because it’s very difficult to analyze. I would suggest sticking with either qualitative or quantitative. Now quantitative research is more rigorous when we talk about practice changes and clinical protocols and so forth. So later on, quantitative is going to become more important. So talk about that. Is this a correlational study, which means, is this non-experimental, that quantitative is going to have some statistical analysis. And that way they are going to gather the evidence is going to be in a manner that you can statistically analyze it and that gives it rigor. So it’s either going to be non-experimental. Maybe there’s an intervention being done in the steady. Have an intervention, great. Maybe they’re comparing that with a control group. That’s what we would call a randomized control trial. And that’s very rigorous evidence. If it’s a qualitative study, you’re going to talk about how they gather the data. It will be some sort of self-report narrative accounts. They’re not going to have statistics. It would just be thematic description and that’s low rigors that we’re not, we wouldn’t use qualitative evidence for our practice change in an institution. But that’s what that means. Then the next section briefly talk about the strengths and limitations of the study that’ll be found in the conclusion part of the study. Every study has strengths, limitations, and recommendations for future research. They can briefly touch on that. Then the last part, your general nights comments, thoughts about your, your article. Then you can list attached there. If you use any other outside resources to support this assignment beyond your four articles, you would list them there.
A reference is not complete unless you have a doi or the database where you retrieved your article.

I will attach the template that must be used I will attach it to afile and will attach the instructions to a file. Required references will also be attached as well as the rubric.
remember to find current research evidence (within 5-7 years)
