In the France’s Chauvet cave on the wall there were the paint of the rhino with eight legs, that is called portosynima in the documentary the painter draw the animal with eight legs to represent there movement. This is human brain , they create a unique way to express out the things they want to represent, just like the animal’s movement.

We reconstruct the past, you imagine what was the life back then and what kind of animal is appeared, and what is there life style. For example they will dancing with there own shadow they thought there were another person in the wall and will doing the moves other than they doing ,so they keep trying it imagine in there head there is an alive thing in the wall. All after they light up the fire with a stick

The researcher they are using the technique which is they taking photo of the paint on the wall, since they can not touch it. And diagnosis it and figure out the different time period have different work to the cave wall. Some of them were the early human using the stick ,and after that is a cave bear using the craw to attack the wall. By looking at the cave paint, the early human paint it on the wall and tell us the story happening between the animals.
