- Hospitals and nursing departments have been highly bureaucratic, with several levels of hierarchy and operationa decisions made by middle and upper level administrators.
- In recent years, however, health care organizations have followed the trend of other industries by decreasing organizational layers and adopting decentralized decision- making processes.
Professional Relationship
- Interactions that occur among nurses and between nurse and other health professionals.
- Based on nurses’ beliefs and attitudes about their profession and their own personal worth.
