1. Report
Purpose
The purpose of this assessment task is to consolidate the information that you have learnt concerning leadership and management and conduct a situational analysis with a focus on course learning outcomes 1-7
Description
Within this assessment, you will have the opportunity to provide further detail concerning the situation that you explored in Assessment 2 providing an exploration of data associated with the situational analysis along with the exploration of potential solutions. You will then be asked to make recommendations appropriate to the situation and your work setting. Within your written report (assignment) provide the following, using these headings:
Introduction
Reflect on your assessment 2 and ensure your introduction includes a brief outline of the situation and your SMART goal (this is to remind to reader of the situation). You should also outline the focus of your report.
Background
Provide a detailed exploration situational analysis findings. This discussion should be evidence-based and include data (deidentified), consultation, contemporary high quality literature that examines the situation, along with a rationale for the completion/inclusion of the data/factors ect for consideration.
2. Written Assessment
Purpose
This assessment task aims to develop your ability to evaluate, interpret and apply high quality evidence by critically analysing and presenting best practice interventions to m optimise care and symptom management in advanced clinical practice.
Description
You will take the knowledge that you have gained from Assessment 2 and further develop your knowledge of symptom management through the application to a patient case study of your choice (you may choose to use the same symptom/cluster from Assessment 2).
An introduction is not required.
Your assessment task must address the following points and use these headings:
- Overview (approximately 250 words): Provide a brief overview of your patient case (pseudonyms must be used) including the symptom/symptom cluster.
- Symptom Management Model Application (approximately 350 words): Discuss the symptom/cluster burden focusing on a specific domain of the Symptom Management Model (Dodd et al. 2001)
- Analysis (600 words): A) Identify and briefly discuss two interventions for symptom relief that were implemented in your case study. Critically analyse these two interventions with current evidence to determine if best-practice is optimised.
- Best Practice Summary (approximately 300 words): Summarise the key points and best practice evidence-based interventions that will optimise care and symptommanagement for your patient/case.
3. Written Assignment
Purpose
This assessment is assessing which requires you to apply established theories and research to explore the role of epidemiology in your understanding of public health issues, management of National Health Priorities and emerging trends in
Description
This assessment requires you to explore a primary health care topic of interest. Ideally this will be a National health priority area and involve care for a vulnerable population (such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples).
Prepare a brief overview of one (1) primary health care topic relevant to your practice. Background: provide a brief overview of the chosen primary health care topic relevant to your practice
Critical Analysis: Critically analyse and synthesise the literature on:
- The role of epidemiology in understanding the health issue,
- Risk factor management of the condition, and
- Any emerging trends in care for the population impacted by this health care topic.
Summary and Recommendations: Conclude your essay by making recommendations on how communication and engagement at the local or regional level with the population impacted by your health care topic could be enhanced to improve outcomes and maintain good health.
Note: You must use contemporary high-quality literature to support the critical analysis and recommendations.
