Russell, J.P. (2018). What are quality assurance and quality control?.
Due: Sunday, 11:59 pm of Unit 3 Points: 100 Overview: This week we are discussing the process of Manage Quality, which includes Quality Assurance as well as the differences between Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The PMBOK Guide calls “Quality Control” “Control Quality”. Using the course reading material, your research, and what you have learned in this week’s discussion, explore why Quality Assurance is as important as Quality Control for Project Quality Management. Instructions:
• Detail why Quality Assurance is as important as Quality Control to ensure that a
project has effective Quality Management.
o Consider what Quality Control provides to a project versus what Quality
Assurance provides.
o Consider what would be missing if Quality Assurance was not done for a
project.
• Provide examples supporting your position.
Requirements:
• Provide a paper which is 3-5 pages (not including the title page and references)
• Use APA format, including: title page, references, in text citations (as needed)
• Include at least two source references beyond the course required reading.
Be sure to read the criteria, by which your paper/project will be evaluated, before you write, and again after you write.
