Part 2: Outline ways in which you could create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. As part of the project you must create a visual aid for a student with a specific special need to help teach a life skill to promote independence, that would support the student’s inclusion and independence in the classroom environment under the guidance of the teacher.
Discuss how the life skill would be taught using the visual aid you have created. As part of your discussion, you should include features such as; task analysis of the skill being taught, good communication skills, chaining, prompting etc.
What challenges would you envisage and how would they be addressed.
How would you promote independence for a child with special needs.
Discuss the role of the SNA in promoting an independent and inclusive environment under the guidance of the teacher.
